Hello! My name is Daniel Trip and I have a confession to make: I have a rare ‘interest’ called nebulophilia. That means I like looking at smoke and steam. In addition, I also like listening to revving cars.

Story: Where It Began

While this turns me on now, that wasn't always the case. When I was around four years old, my father's car broke down. While he was revving the car, it smoked like crazy. The amount of noise and smoke was very intimidating and scary to me, but the door to our house slammed shut and I couldn't get inside. I can't remember the rest of it, but this part I remember like no other.

A year or so later, we went to a family member's wedding party and I got on the stage to dance like a typical boy of that age would (I wasn't really born with a talent for dancing). This was also the first time I got smoked by a fog machine every few minutes or so. For some reason, I wasn't scared or anything. I found it quite fun, actually. I still remember everything about it, up to the point we left.

I remember myself thinking back about that day many times. But when I became aware of YouTube, I slowly started watching more and more videos of fog machines. Later on, I also became aware of vehicle cold start and seafoam videos, in which revving is a pretty common occurrence. But the strangest part is that I enjoy all of that now. Somehow, my mind has turned the very things that used to scare me into something enjoyable.

Goals

With this website, I want to achieve the following goals:

  • Meet people with nebulophilia and/or exhaust ‘interest’;
  • Create a little community for sharing videos and other content to people like us;
  • Show like-minded people they're not alone, no matter how obscure their ‘interest’ is (as long as you're not hurting anyone).

Please feel free to share your story with me. You can do so by sending an email here. Please don't forget to let me know whether I can share the story on this website or not.

Finally, enjoy this website and hope I'll see you soon!
